The Under 17 lionesses of Cameroon, have left the Nations capital Yaoundé, for Lusaka, Zambia ahead of their game against Zambia.
Stephane Ndzana’s baby lionesses are scheduled to face their Zambian counterparts in Lusaka on Friday April 15, in the third round of the CAF zone qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA Under 17 World cup.
Before leaving Cameroon, the baby lionesses had played a series of friendly games, with the last being a 1#2 defeat to Canon girls of Yaounde last Wednesday.
Both Zambia and Cameroon did not play the first and the second rounds of qualifiers. After being exempted from the first round due to their high ranks in the continent, Zambia and Cameroon were scheduled to play Namibia and Eritrea respectively in the second round, but walked over to the third round, after their opponents failed to show up.
12 African countries in still in the quest for the three tickets, to represent the continent at the global event schedule for India from the 11 to 30 December 2022.
The Winner the Cameroon versus Zambia tie, will face the winner of the Burundi versus Tanzania tie in the fourth and last round of qualifiers.
