After five group games, eight teams have qualified to the quarter-final of the 2022 Women’s All-Stars Football Competition holding at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The Netherlands (13 points), Ghana (10 points), Nigeria (8 points), and Germany qualified from Group A while Brazil (3 points) and Switzerland (2 points) crashed out of the competition.
In Group B, England (13 points), Finland (10 points), Deutschland (8 points), and Romania (7 points) made it to the quarter-final as South Africa (3 points) and Austria (1 point) crashed out of the tournament.
The Netherlands and Romania will trade tackles in the first quarterfinal game on Thursday followed by England against Germany.
Ghana will face Deutschland while the clash better Nigeria and Final will end the quarter-final fixtures.
The competition aims to discover talents for the Nigerian women’s football team from the U-17 to the senior level.
