Some three reputable football Promoters in Cameroon Kadji Sports Academy, DONLAP Academy and UTOPIA group plans to expose the talents imbedded in young Cameroonians in the country through a football tournament dubbed United Cup.

In a press conference held Friday April 15, 2022 at K Hotel in Douala, the trio revealed that their aim organizing this first ever edition of the United Cup is to expose quality players in the Country under the age of 18 years during the tournament that will run from April 25 to 28 at Kadji Sport Academy Centre.

“For the past years coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an opportunity for young players to exercise their talents and a chance to make them feature in foreign leagues and become professionals,” Charles Ngwa General Manager of UTOPIA Group explained

“Our peculiarity is to put the youth to the lamplight and to make out the value of every youth. The quality of players is what will make this tournament because we have taken so much time to examine the various clubs that will be participating” DONLAP Paulin founder of DONLAP Academy added

Eight teams selected via quality shall be in action. DONLAP Academy, KSA, UTOPIA group, Future Star shall all produce a team each. Meanwhile Wouri Division is expected to produce two teams and two clubs from Cameroon Elite One and Two championship shall be select to join the six clubs in the competition.

“The teams were selected by a college of organizers aimed at picking out the best quality and talents who can represent the country in the international scene and our national team as We are going to have scouts from different countries coming in for players.” Charles Ngwa General Manager of UTOPIA Group hinted

During the competition scouts from France, Italy, South Africa and Ghana are expected to watch these lads compete and exercise their talents. Players who impress and meet up the standards of the scouts shall be selected to feature in teams including Stade Rennes, Olympique Marseille in France and a host of other clubs from the aforementioned countries.

To Mpondo Nikolas Director of Sports for Kadji Sports Academy, the scouts coming in will have real talents to experience due to the work force.

“All those who will come will have quality talents to experience. We have been working for years, we have selected players and are still selecting coupled with a very active technical and medical staff working hard to ensure good state of the players.”

This will not be the first time Kadji Sports Academy is producing world class players as the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Mbami Modest all went through this prestigious institution.

The trio organizers of this tournament include Kadji Sport Academies, a sports academy and association football team from Békoko, Douala in Cameroon founded by Gilbert Kadji, DONLAP Football Academy and UTOPIA group.
