The South West Regional league gets underway on Thursday, April 14,2022, with two match day One games to be staged at the Middle farms stadium in Limbe.
Njilla Quan Sport Academy of Limbe will play the opening game against new comers, Aljazeera S.A of Muyuka. While last year’s Mini-Interpol finalist, Limbe football Club Association, (LIFCA)will play the later game with Isles of Hope Football Academy.(ISOSHA)
The league which was scheduled to have taken place on March 27, got delayed due to the ongoing Elite one matches played in the South west Region as well as the double World Cup qualifier clash pitting the indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Algeria.
The region plays host to Pool B teams of the 2021/22 Elite One football Championship.
The rest of Match day one championship have been programmed for Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of April Respectively.
A total of 31 clubs will be involved in the league this season as four clubs gained promotion to the Regional league; Termtsa of Mamfe, Aljazeera SA. Istanbul FA and Southwest United Academy..
The teams have been divided into four pools of 8 clubs each except for Meme with 7 clubs in her pool.
The top two of the various pools will qualify for the Mini-interpols. Meanwhile those occupying the bottom spots from the four pools will be relegated to them Divisional league so three clubs from the Divisional league can gain promotion to the Regional league.
It should be noted that the league and the entire affairs of the region will be spearheaded by newly elected President, Ndazeh Valery who has been voted to run the SouthWest regional league of Fecafoot.
