Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry Football Club (MFM FC) are through to the quarter-final of the 2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) U-15 Promises after a hard-fought 0-1 win over Lobi Stars at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State on Monday.
A 59th minute well-taken free-kick from Francis Ajibola lifted the young Olukoya Boys to its second win in Group A which all but confirm the Lagos-based side’s passage into the quarter-final with a maximum of six points from two games.
In the second Group A game, Plateau United bounced back from defeat to MFM FC in its first game to record a 0-2 triumph over Kano Pillars.
Yusuf Abubakar and Christopher Yusuf’s superb free-kick propelled the Jos-based side to its first win of the tournament.
It was goal fest in the final game of the day as Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) thrashed Enyimba International 7-1 to move to the top of Group B ahead of its final group game with Katsina United.
Aliu Olatunde scored two goals while Abubakar Abass, Mustapha Abioye, Busari Waliou, Ajayi Samuel, and Jimoh Basit scored a goal each for Shooting Stars.
Ogunfile Daniel reduced the deficit for Enyimba from the penalty spot in the 48th minute.
