The Cameroon football Federation has revealed the pairings of the 2022 National playoffs for promotion to the country’s second tier competition.
The exercise conducted this Tuesday at the FECAFOOT headquarter in Tsinga produced a facinatating pairing of the ten regional champions in the exiting event penciled for next
month in Limbe.
The draw revealed that the champions of Northwest, North, Center, Adamawa and the West Region will compete for the top two positions in Pool A while Pool B has the Southwest, Far North, South, East and Littoral Regions.
At the end of the group stages of the competition, the best two clubs each pool will advance to the semi-final of the competition and the winners at that level will face off in the final and advance to Elite Two.
The two outfits representing the North West and South West regions are already known – Victoria United and Hilltop Stikers will represent the Northwest and Southwest regions respectively.
The North West region is also dreaded due to the zone’s recent new found ease of getting outfits to the second tier in the last decade, having graduate five teams at the level in the last ten years the latest being Rangers of Bafut in 2021.
Southwest on a run of ten consecutive playoffs without promotion of a club is putting its all together to make the most of the second coming of the event it was host of last season.
The other eight regions of the country are expected to produce their champions and interpools representatives in the days ahead.
