The road towards Mozambique 2022 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) kicked off on Saturday with the first leg of the Qualifiers.
With host, Mozambique and Nigeria already qualified for the tournament, holders, Senegal thrashed Cameroon 1-9 in the first leg of the Qualifiers.
Uganda defeated Comoros 2-5.
Mwere Nicholas scored two goals for the Sand Cranes with Nkuubi Brian, Kobiroge Meddie, and Lukooya Baker converting a goal apiece.
Moussa Ali and Soilni Djafer scored Comoros Island’s two goals.
Black Sharks of Ghana earned a slim 6-5 win over The Sand Pharaohs of Egypt at Laboma Beach with Nigerian referees on duty for the game.
Jelili Adeniran, Olawale Adeolu Fawole, Olayinka Elijah Olajide, and Ahmad Rabiu were in charge of the game.
Malawi also recorded a 3-2 triumph against Tanzania while Madagascar beat Seychelles 2-5 on Saturday.
The game between Ivory Coast and Morocco will take place on Sunday at the Parc Des Sports De Treichville.
The return leg of the Qualifiers will take place from August 5 to 7, 2022, with six teams joining Mozambique and Nigeria at the 2022 Beach Soccer AFCON.
