A total number of 22 women and 35 men teams have been submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the 2022 Aiteo (FA) Cup.
For the women category, twenty two (22) out of thirty seven (37) States including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja submitted representatives.
In the men’s category, thirty five (35) States submitted their representatives.
The finalists at state level were submitted for the national finals.

Bayelsa Queens and Bayelsa United won the 2021 edition at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.
The two (2) teams made history by emerging as the first clubs from the same state (men and women) to win the Aiteo Cup in the same year.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in the coming days will announce the fixtures, dates, and venues for the national finals.
The winner of the men’s national final will represent Nigeria at the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup alongside the third placed club in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
