It promises to be another exciting week of football actions across seven centres as week eight of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership takes centre stage on Wednesday.
Top on the bill will be the Lagos derby between FC Robo Queens and DreamStar FC Ladies.
The clash between Edo Queens and Delta Queens is also a tough encounter ahead of us in week seven.
Here is the Week 8 Preview of the NWFL Premiership

FC Robo Queens

Dream Stars FC (Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Lagos)
After surviving the scare of armed robbers on their way to Delta State, FC Robo Queens will hope to recover from last week’s 1-0 defeat to Delta Queens.
The host are form favorite for this clash with four wins this season above one win for relegation-threatened DreamStar FC Ladies.

Royal Queens, basking in the euphoria of their 2-0 win over DreamStar FC last week will attempt to pick a point in Port Harcourt.

Pelican Stars will be optimistic that Chinwendu Ufomba’s goal will help them weather the storm of the Betty Babes in Akure. The visitors have improved after picking their first win of the campaign against DreamStar FC Ladies and narrowly lost to Rivers Angels 1-2 last week.

Osun Babes, after defeating Sunshine Queens last week will try to pick their second away win after their 0-1 win over Ibom Angels in Uyo on matchday one. The Omoluabi Queens are yet to draw any of their league games this season.

Bayelsa Queens FC

League leaders, Bayelsa Queens walk a tight rope as they currently have a one-point lead with Rivers Angels ferociously chasing them.
After their first defeat of the season to Delta Queens, Bayelsa Queens bounced back with two wins in their last two games. Moses Aduku tutored side will have to compound the woes of Ibom Angels after the visitor’s poor form which ensured that they drop to the relegation zone last week coupled with the suspension of Coach Morufu Adeyemo.
