The race for the league title hots up with Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels dropping points away.
Bayelsa Queens still maintained their one-point lead at the top of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership table ahead of Rivers Angels.
We take a look at the major statistics from week nine.
1- Abia Angels 0-0 draw with Delta Queens was their first draw of the season.
1- Osun Babes’ 1-1 draw with Bayelsa Queens was their first draw of the season.

1- Nasarawa Amazons’ 1-1 draw with Pelican Stars was their first draw of the season.
1- DreamStar FC Ladies’ 1-1 draw with Rivers Angels was their first draw of the season.
1- Confluence Queens 0-1 win over Ibom Angels was the only away win of week nine.
2- Chinyere Igboamalu’s goal for Nasarawa Amazons vs Pelican Stars was her second goal of the season.
2- Delta Queens’ 0-0 draw with Abia Angels was their second draw of the season.
2- Week nine produced two home wins.
3- Esther Onyenezide’s goal for FC Robo Queens vs Edo Queens was her third goal of the season.
