The 2021 edition of the Francophonie games earlier announced to take place in Kinshasa, D.R Congo has been postponed.
The games programmed to run from July 23rd to August 1st, 2021 will now take place within the same period in 2022.
The decision was taken after a request from the Congolese government to have it postponed to 2022. This is due to the Tokyo Olympic games previously postponed to the summer of 2021.
The International committee for La Francophonie games is expected to announce a new date in the days ahead. This will be done after consultations and recommendations from the orientation council and the Permanent council of La Francophonie.
