Njalla Quan Sports Academy, NQSA has been drawn to face Eteki Esoh Memorial Sports Academy, EEMSA, in one of the second-round matches in the ongoing South West Qualifiers for the 2021 Cup of Cameroon.
NQSA will head into this game that comes up either on Wednesday, March 10 or Thursday, March 11 after defeating one of last year’s representatives in H.O Academy.
A 2-1 victory on Sunday ensured that NQSA moves to the second round of the qualifiers. EEMSA on her part goes into this game after dispatching Fako United 3-0.
“The game is one we have been waiting for considering our performance in the last match. The draw against EEMSA is one we are going to get set for,” Erwin Jounda Ayota, Communications Manager of NQSA told kick442.com.
“We have confidence in the technical department considering that they have been able to build back the performance of the team after the Christmas break where we have had impressive performances.”
He added that: “It is going to be a tight run for us looking at the fact that we have the upcoming Regional League and Cup of Cameroon matches and we are looking forward to winning all the matches.”
Aside from the Cup of Cameroon, NQSA will be in action this Saturday against ISOHSA. On the first day of play, NQSA defeated LIFCA 2-1, while ISOHSA’s game did not take place as there was an issue of licenses with FUSSA.
“The preparations are going on smoothly except for Captain Ulrich who is down at the moment. Between now and next week we will be examining him. But for the rest of the team, they have been under close observations and they are making progress in terms of their preparations,” Erwin Ayota added.
It should be recalled that NQSA is placed in Pool C of the South West Regional League alongside LIFCA, ISHOSA, and FUSSA. The team currently has three points after winning their first game.
