Match 151 for qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations 2021 pitting Sierra Leone against Benin which failed to take place on Tuesday March 30, 2021, has been postponed by the Confederation of African Football CAF to June.
The reason for postponing the game sterms from the fact that five players from Benin were declared COVID-19 positive minutes before kick-off of the game.
The decision was taken by officials of CAF this Wednesday March 31, 2021, postponing the game to the next FIFA international break come June 2021.
Benin currently occupies the second spot in group L, with seven points recorded. Sierra Leone is third with four points.
So far, 23 nations have booked a spot for the African Cup of Nations to Cameroon come next year.
