Mauritania have qualified for the 2021 edition of the Total Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon, making it a historic back-to-back AFCON appearance for them after their debut in Egypt 2019.
The Mourabitounes made sure of qualification thanks to an away 1-0 victory over Central African Republic in Bangui on this afternoon.
Aboubacar Kamara first half injury time goal was enough for them to pick up a total of 9 points in Group E tally to, four more than third place Burundi who play Morocco later today in Rabat.
Knowing a win will take them automatically to the finals, Mauritania played on attacking note from the start, however they defended the lone goal they scored at brink of half-time with all their strength.
