West Indies trampled Nigeria by 246 runs in their league fixture at Kimberley on Thursday (January 23).

After being set 304 to win, the Nigerians failed to stitch together any partnerships, as Jayden Seales ripped through the top order, as Ashmead Nedd and Matthew Patrick skittled through the rest to drive a rampant side to a dominating win.

This consolidates the West Indies’ position at the top of the table, whereas Nigeria remain at the bottom with two losses in as many games.

Earlier in the day, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first, starting off with a solid 70-run stand, and a 65-runs stand to follow that. courtesy a fifty by Kimani Melius. The next phase of play saw a mini-collapse of five wickets for 64 runs. They were then rescued by Matthew Patrick and Joshua James, who compiled a partnership of 90 runs, before the lower-order dragged the score past 300, which proved to be more than sufficient in the end.
