One of Nigeria and Ghana will pick one of Africa’s three (3) tickets up for grabs at the ongoing India 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. Both West African football giants dispatched Guinea and Liberia respectively and will square up in the final round of Qualifying matches.
Flamingos as the Nigerian side are fondly called defeated Guinea 1-6 and 5-1 to complete a 11-2 aggregate scoreline.
Ghana Black Maidens on the other hand earned 0-3 and 7-0 result on away and home basis over Liberia to wrap up a handsome 10-0 aggregate scoreline.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg before the return in Nigeria that will likely take place at Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium, Lagos, Nigeria, home venue where ten (10) girls Nigeria defeated Guinea 5-1 on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
In other final round fixture, Uganda will host Sao Tome and Principe conqueror, U-17 Lionesses of Cameroon while South Africa will trade tackles with Morocco.
The three winners of the next round in May qualify for the finals in India.
