Indomitable Lionesses forward Henriette Michelle Akaba Edoa says Cameroon’s women military football team is poised to emerge victorious at the 7th World Military Games in Wuhan, China this month.
The 27-year-old is upbeat they will put up a decent show despite paired with stiff oppositions Brazil, France and Korea.
“We are ready for World Military Games. We are ready to defend honourably the colours of our country. We will give our best to return home with the trophy” Akaba told Kick442.com.
“The competition will help me to improve on my skills. It will also help me express myself better on the pitch and score as many goals as possible. I will be at my best” the Indomitable Lioness added.
The football girls were among the first set of athletes to leave Yaounde on Sunday ahead of the games which opens in 96 hours.
There rest of team Cameroon military athletes jet out of the Country this Monday for the multi-sport event.
Sixty athletes will represent Cameroon in six disciplines including Athletics , boxing and Judo. Over 10,000 athletes from 105 countries will participate this year.
The 2019 World Military Games begins on October 18-27,2019 in Wuhan, China.
It is a multi-sport event for military sport persons organised by the international Military Sport Council ( CISM )
The Football team will count on the form and experience of multiple titles winner Akaba for a great tournament.
