The Men’s Basketball selection of the University of Bamenda have advanced to the semi final of the ongoing varsity games and will face the University of Yaounde II,SOA on Thursday.
The basketball boys qualified as best losers after their fall to Yaoundé I during a tight 1/4 final game on Wednesday.
UBa has had a good run in the men’s basketball category.
They had a brilliant start with a win against host Dschang in their first game what was a possible spring board to the success.
They lost their second game against a resilient Maroua team but made it to the knock out stage where they ousted Ngaoundere 68- 62 baskets.
Their fine form came to an end when they were overpowered by Yaounde I at the 1/4 final but sailed to the semi’s as best losers with a lesser point difference of 12 baskets as opposed to Saintou who lost to Douala( 13 baskets difference) and Dschang that fell to Yaounde II (15 baskets)
UBa basketball team will clash with the University the Yaounde II tomorrow in Dschang during the first semi final game while Yaounde I will entertain Douala.
