The University of Buea female football team have qualified for their second successive semi final after an incredible fightback twisting an impossible result to reality.

The 2018 finalist came from 3-0 down to beat host Dschang 7-6 on post match penalty shot out in Bandjoun this Wednesday.

All hopes seems  after the end of the first half as Team UB conceded trice.

They regained their confidence during the second period to produce an incredible fightback, typical of the University of Buea.

The match was an opportunity for the University of Dschang to avenge a lost 0-1 to UB last year to prevent them to advance to the next stage.

Team UB have produced one of the greatest comebacks in varsity history leveling the scores at 3 all before full time and are now hoping to reach the final.

Prior to their departure, the captain of the female football selection ,Asong Charlotte promised to perform better than last year, a promise they are about fulfilling.

Despite losing their first two group games,UB qualified for the quarter final on Tuesday following a narrow 1-0 win over IUG.

The days ahead could appear difficult but their recent performance is a scare for most varsity landlords.
