The 2019 Central African Football Federations’ Union, UNIFFAC Women’s Football competition which was initially programmed for 16th to 25th September 2019 has been postponed to the 4th to 13th of October 2019.

Sources say the competition initially slated to take place this September has moved by close to two weeks but the host nation remains Equatorial Guinea.

The 8 nations Women’s football competition will have the following participants; Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville,DR Congo, Sao Tome, Central Africa Republic and host Equatorial Guinea.

President Gustavo Dongo Edu’s decision to postpone the kickoff date has been saluted by actors who believe it will give the host and Athletes more time to prepare.

Equatorial Guinea’s Women’s Football team captain Salome Nke Noah Ghyslaine told this online portal that the decision is a well thought and welcomed one.

Most of our girls for this competition are just coming back from the All Africa Games in Rabat Morocco, I think it’s the same situation with Cameroon. With the two additional weeks the girls can have more rest and preparation time ahead of a good competition”; Salome Stated.

Representatives of all 8 participants will assemble in Guinea later this month for the pairings of teams ahead of the 2019 UNIFFAC Women’s Football competition.
