Three-time African women’s singles champion, Olufunke Oshonaike is targeting the semi-finals at the ongoing 2019 ITTF Africa Cup in Lagos and has hinted on retiring soon.
The Veteran who Having beaten Ethiopia’s Ngidie Dejene 3-0 in her first match, Nigeria’s Funke Oshonaike got her second victory of the day, beating Algeria’s Katia Kessaci 3-1 (11-6, 11-8, 8-11, 11-1).
The 44-year old tennis player said ” If I qualify (for Tokyo 2020 ) then I think I’ll drop the racket in 2020 after the Olympic games.”
She has represented Nigeria in the All African Games, Common Wealth Games and the Olympic Games.
