Six time Champions Cotonsport of Garoua have humiliated amateur side Olympique of Meiganga by 4 goals to nil this Thursday in Bertoua.
The Adamawa side got off to the worst possible start conceding in the 4th minute, thanks to the goal scoring brilliance of Aime Gerard Mangolo before adding another through defender Joel Djondang in the 26th minute.
The Cotonites dominated the rest of 20 minutes of the first segment of the game without end product. At half time it was two for the boys of coach Doumbe Bosso.
In the second Olympique De Meiganga made the same error conceding again in the first 5 minutes of the half through the same player (Aime Mangolo) as the Cotonites looked to be cruising towards a comfortable win.
Olympique Meiganga looked more organized after conceding though leaving the Cotonites will the ball in most of the early minutes of the second half.
In the 73rd minutes the other Center back Ngweni Ndasi stepped up to make it 4 for the Garoua boys.
Mangolo could have gotten a hatrick in the 80th minutes but he stepped up and missed from penalty spot to keep the scores at 4 nil for Cotonsport.
At full time it was a visibly satisfied Cotonsport side that got their ticket for the next round of the competition despite not including most of their first team players.
Mangolo have netted 5 goals in all competitions for the Cotonites this season.
Doumbe Bosso’s Cotonsport of Garoua faces his former club and side with whom he won the Cup in 2013,YOSA of Bamenda in the next round of the Cup of Cameroon in a date still to be set. Bosso left YOSA less than 3 months ago after serving the club as a coach for 9 years in 2 separate spells
