65kg women’s champion Blandine Ngiri has told the media that she was determined to win gold in this year’s All Varsity games despite the challenges set before her.
The gold champion defeated record three time gold medalist of the University of Douala yesterday in the finals of the 65kg category in Foumban.
“I am very happy I won gold this year.Although it is not my first time. I won gold during the games in Bamenda although in a different category,70kg and was silver medalist last year.
I was determined to make a difference this year despite not having enough training. I thank God for the victory” The new wrestling star Blandine disclosed.
She also praised the immense support from UB authorities and her coach who have been very supportive,and a great factor to her success.
Blandine got team UB’s second gold medal on Tuesday after Ayuk Pricilia got a first in the women’s 400 meters.
