With the conclusion of draws for 2019-2020 Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) and the league scheduled to kick off come March 18, 2020, players, coaches and club officials continue to react and pounder on the draws. sampled their opinions.

REINE BAKENDJ (Abia Angels player)
I will first say that it is not an easy group. We are really in a very hard group but that does not mean that we won’t try our best by ensuring that we qualify for Super 4. The likes of Bayelsa Queens Fc, Sunshine stars FC and Nasarawa Amazons FC will give us a hard task in that group. We are training and hoping to achieve something great this season.”

OLUWATOSIN OGUNDEKO (Dream Stars Ladies player)
“The group is not too tough for us to overcome. We will take each game equally as we are not over rating or under rating anyone.”

INNOCENT PATRICIA (Sunshine Queens player)
“I will say tough group for Sunshine Queens because other clubs are also preparing hard for each matches. Playing Bayelsa Queens away will be a hard game for us but we will try our best to get something there because Super 4 is our focus after narrowly missing out last season.”

ADOO YINA (Confluence Queens player)
“The group is an easy one for me because we are ready to take on any team as we try to win the trophy after painfully losing the final last season to Rivers Angels.”

“Good and wonderful group for us. The fear is that we have the defending Champions, Rivers Angels in our group which will be a hard fixture for us. Notwithstanding we will try to finish in the top 2 to get the Super 4 ticket.”

ABOLORE ABDULRAHMAN (Dream Stars Ladies Chairman)
“Football, today, has gone beyond past glory. With due respect to all oppositions in group A, it is an open group as far as I am concerned, and every team has the chance to progress.
It is a new season, I am sure every team has fortified their squad with potential players who will do them proud in the season.”

REGINA OMEDE (Adamawa Queens player)
“No team is push over in Group B. Defending Champions, Rivers Angels will be the toughest opposition for us in the group. We are training hard ahead of the season to ensure that we make it back to back Super 4 for Adamawa Queens.”

ANJOR MARY (Bayelsa Queens forward)
“Group A is not an easy group. All the clubs in that group will give us a fight and try to beat us as former champions. We qualified for Super 4 last season on goal difference and will try to avoid repeating the same scenario by gathering more points next season.”

AYODEJI YEKEEN (Osun Babes Chief Coach)
“No group will be considered as an easy group. A group where we have league holders and former league winners both groups are tough group , and we respect all our opponents in the group and we will surely give a good account of ourselves.”

SEUN BETIKU (Team Manager, Sunshine Queens)
“We are professional, and we have set targets, we’ll ensure we redouble our efforts and achieve the desired goals. Sure it’s a bit tough, compared to Group B, but I’m optimistic we’ll triumph over our opponents.”
