The Nigeria Nationwide League withdraw 17 NLO1 clubs from the 2022 league season due to the failure of the clubs to honour their opening game of the season.
A press release by the league confirmed this on Wednesday ahead of week two games across the country.
The Nationwide League One season commenced on Wednesday 16 March 2022 with official kick-off in Lagos and subsequent matches were played across the country which fulfilled 2022 NLO week one season.
Sequel to above, the NLO Secretariat has been able to identify some clubs that are in default of registration and did not partake in the week one matches despite their club names appearing on the fixtures, these clubs are stated below:
1. POSITIVE ACADEMY, OYO
2. ITUEN INTL FC. A-BOM
3. FC. IUBA, ANAMBRA
4. LAMRAY UTD FC. ENUGU
S ADORATION FC. ENUGU
6. ISOKO UTD FC. DELTA
7. FC SOLID. PLATEAU
8. B. ANGELS FC FCT
9. CINCINNATI FC LAGOS
10. GODDOSKI FC. ANAMBRA
11. JOY COMETH FC. LAGOS
12. FC BULMARO. LAGOS
13. JUVENILE FC OGUN
14. FC. TARABA, TARABA
15 OLISA FC. OGUN
16. ASDC FC FCT
17, DOLPHIN FC. KADUNA
The Nationwide League One Secretariat relying on the relevant article of the guiding rules and regulations has withdrawn the above-listed clubs according to article (2.06 (1) which stipulated that any club that withdraws expressly or is in default of registration after the fixtures are made shall forfeit its registration fees and status.)
