The Volleyball Lionesses of Cameroon have this Thursday loss by 3 sets to 2 to title rival Kenya in the last group game for both sides in the ongoing Africa Women’s Volleyball Championship in Egypt.

The girls of coach Jean Rene Akono led by 2 sets to zero before sacrificing their lead to Kenya and accepting a 3-2 defeat to the Kenyans.

The Lionesses conceded a set defeat after winning 8 straight sets in the tournament as the Kenyans rallied after losing the first two sets.

At the end, Nana Christelle and mates who had already qualified for the semi final before the Kenya game knew they had lost the first phase of the battle but the War continues.

Cameroon finished second in Pool B and so will face the host and Pool A winners Egypt in the semi final.
