The Volleyball Lionesses of Cameroon have eliminated Egypt from their own African Women’s Volleyball Championship this evening to keep their title defense dream alive.
Coach Jean Rene Akono’s recorded a difficult 3 sets to zero win over the competition’s host to program a re-make of the final in 2017.
It was a difficult start for Nana Christelle and co especially in the first set but their fighting spirit helped the team recover to win by 2 points.
In the second set the Lionesses imposed their superiority before crowning it in style with a 25 to 18 win in the third set.

Cameroon will clash with Kenya who had also registered a win against Senegal in the first semi final game.
In the first semi final, Kenya Women’s Volleyball team beat their Senegalese opponents by 3 sets to 0 in the first semi final Clash this Saturday at the Gymnast Hall of 6 October in Cairo.
It was a near stroll for the African Volleyball powerhouse as they two of the 3 sets by more than 10 points.

Senegal looked to second best all evening and at the end of the game the better side carried the day.
For another year Kenya will be in the final as the look to win the trophy for the 6th time in the last 11 years.
Cameroon and Kenya will be meeting for the second time in this tournament after a win earlier on.
