The African Volleyball Confederation ( CAVB), has reschedule games that were initially programmed for Saturday July 27, to this Friday July 26, 2019.
The African men’s volleyball Championship is currently on going in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, and Classification games pitting Botswana against Burundi, Chad vs Congo Brazzaville and DR Congo vs Morocco, plus semi final games, pitting Algeria vs Cameroon and Tunisia vs Egypt, were scheduled to take place on Saturday. But in a communique made public by the executive director of the African Volleyball Confederation, Mrs Howyda Mondy, the games will instead take place this Friday, in the same venue. The reason for this change in the program, is because of the death of the president of Tunisia.
92 year old Beji Caid Essebsi, passes on to glory this Thursday, and Saturday has been declared a day of national mourning in Tunisia.
For the program of this Friday, in the classification games,
10:00am, Botswana vs Burundi
1pm, Chad vs Congo Brazzaville
3pm, DR Congo vs Morocco.
Then for the semi final games, Algeria will take on Cameroon at 5pm, while nine time Champions, and host Tunisia, will take on Egypt as from 7pm.
