Sudanese top flight club Al-Merreikh SC have sacked their head coach Ahcene Aït Abdel-Malek after just one month in charge of the club.

The Algerian tactician was appointed head coach of the Sudanese giants on September 24th 2019 and has been sacked on October 24th 2019. His sacking came after just three matches at the helm of the club wherein he lost two matches.

Al-Merreikh SC currently occupies the 11th position in the Sudan Premier League with 7 points after 4 matches played.

Al-Merrikh Sporting Club is a Sudanese football club based in Omdurman. The club was founded in 1908 and it’s one of the oldest football clubs in Africa, and have won the Sudan Premier League 16 times and Sudan Cup 14 times. The club share a fierce rivalry with Al-Hilal.
