2022 FIFA world cup host, Qatar, have inaugurated the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan which is one of the venue for the 2022 FIFA world cup tournament.
The 40.000 capacity stadium which was launched in the presence the 2022 world cup ambassador shall host seven matches of the tournament.
During the launching ceremony, FIFA president, Gianni Infantino praised the SC for the successful completion of another Qatar and 2022 tournament venue.
Built on the site of a deconstructed stadium, the new venue is adjacent to the Mall of Qatar. The stadium’s most striking feature is a glowing facade, comprised of patterns that characterise different aspects of Qatar.
Apart from Samuel Eto’o Fils who was in attendance, other stars like Tim Cahill, Mohamed Aboutrika and Ali al-Habsi.
