On Monday at the Cathedral, Rangers International of Enugu got a slim one zero win over Kastina United to move to 8th position in the league table at a match 18 Rescheduled game in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Flying Antelope as they are sometimes called got the goal that made the difference through Chinonso Eziekwe in the 46th minute of the game.

Rangers, who were on the ascendency for most part of the game had hit the woodwork twice and missed some chances that would have increased the scoreline.

At the first half, they dominated play with Israel Abia and Kenechukwu being goal scoring positions to give the Enugu side the lead but could not as the first half ended goalless.

However, the Enugu side came out in the second half strong and in two minutes got a deserved lead in the early minute of the half.

With the goal and the momentum on their side, the home side sought more goals but
Israel Abia’s and Kenechukwu Agu’s 54th and 57th minutes strikes both hit the woodwork.

Kastina United defender strongly to keep the scoreline the same as the home side kept pressing to increase the lead.

Rangers took the day after ninety minutes of regulation time.

Katsina United remained unmoved on 11th position after playing 22 games despite the loss.

The Flying Antelope host Rivers United in their next game while The Changi Boys of Kastina host Akwa United in their next game.
