Jigawa Golden Stars got a much needed victory over FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Monday after Samuel Agba’s late goal sealed a 2-1 victory in a match day six fixture in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) in Kano.

The game was looking like it was going to end in a draw after ninety minutes when it remained 1-1 but an in the ninety fifth minutes, Agba poped up to score and give Jigawa Stars their second victory of the season.

Ifeanyi Ubah had equalised in the forty- eight minutes through a Sebastian Uche’s goal cancelling Ali Kalla Maro’s goal in the twenty-eight minutes.

The home side had looked the better side from the blast of the whistle creating chances and putting pressure on the Nnewi side which led to a twenty-eight-minutes goal by Ali Kalla.

They continued even after Ifeanyi Ubah’s goal as the bar and saves from Uzoigwe Ubah’s goalkeeper left the score line at 1-1.

However, Agba made sure the Jigawa side left the pitch with all three points at the end of the day with a last-minute goal.

Agba, former Rangers Int’l and Gombe United player is one of the seventeen players Jigawa Golden Stars bought before the commencement of the league season.
