Kano Pillars got the highest win in match day seven of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)

Pillars ran riot over Delta Force with a 6-1 win at the Sani Abacha Stadium, their first win at home after seven matches this season.

The win means Kano Pillars recorded six goals in an NPFL match for the first time since a 6-0 bashing of Shooting Stars in April 2016.

Akwa United were another big winners as they Adamawa United four goals to nil. Ndifreke Effiong was a sung scoring a hat trick in the 6th, 14th, and 69th minutes. Paul Obata scored the other goal in 25th.

The game between Sunshine ended in a 6-goal thriller as the Akure side defeated Nasarawa United 4-2. Isreal Abia got the whole four goals for Sunshine Stars.

Meanwhile, Heartland were the toast of today after stopping the unbeaten run of the league leaders, Plateau United. Ilechuchukwu boys got their second win against Plateau United 1-0.

After losing at home to Pillars on Wednesday, Akwa Starlet got a vital point at Aba against Abia Warriors. The match ended 1-1.

Lobi Stars also got a point against Warri Wolves in Delta. It ended ended in a goalless draw.

Ifeanyi Ubah won 2-0 against second on the log Wikki Tourist at Nnewi.
