After the match was interrupted on Sunday due to the attack on Referees at half time, the abandoned match between Adamawa United and Warri Wolves was concluded on Monday evening in Bauchi and Warri Wolves held on to their lead to take all three points on Monday.

The Seasiders led after Abu Azeez had scored in the 21st minute of the game till half time before the game was interrupted.

The goal was scored after goalkeeper Bulus kept out Sunday Williams’ initial attempt but Abu Azeez made no error in firing the follow-up into the net.

The win takes Warri Wolves up to 9th (the top half of the table) on the NPFL log for the first since Matchday 5 (November 2019).

Warri Wolves who after four matches have won three matches and drew a match.

They host MFM in Warri this week Sunday by 4 pm.

For Adamawa the result only makes things worse for them as they wallow in the twentieth position.
