At the Ibom Stadium, Dakkada International defeated Jigawa Golden Stars 2-0 in the first match of match day seventeen fixtures of this week.

The goals came after an almost even or balance game in the first half.

Dakkada International came out early in the second half to score the first goal through Osimaga Duke’s wonderful finish.

Osimaga hit a one-time effort from the edge of the box which flew past goalkeeper Dami Paul.

The away side were not deterred as they kept trying to get the equaliser.

Ali Kala, Yusuf Mohammed, Moshood Kasali all had their chances to score but couldn’t.

Dakkada International took their chance in the seventy-first minute as Spencer Bassey finished a Femi Ajayi chested down pass to make it two.

Jigawa’s Samuel Stone had a chancelater in the game to reduce the deficit but his header goes over.

In the 88th minute, Spencer Basset almost scored a brace to make it three for his team but his effort his seen to have ricocheted the bar.

Samuel Stone had another chance to reduce the score for Jigawa in the 91st minute but he shot the ball poorly over from eight yards with only the keeper to beat.

The match ended 2-0 as Dakkada secured their seventh win of the season.
