The last game of the match day 15 saw Nasarawa United beat Dakkada International at the Uyo township Stadium three goals nil.

It came much as a surprise as the sixth placed team with twenty three points looked good to go third if they win.

Besides, they have been in hot form and it was expected the result will go their way.

However, they played a rejuvenated Nasarawa United side who have lost just one of their last five matches in an NPFL game, after their shaky start to the league. With two wins, two draws and a loss.

The first goal came from a corner that was passed to Ibrahim Matthew who struck it well to give Nasarawa the lead in the 30th minute.

It ended 0-1 at half time.

After trying to get a goal, the opportunity came to make it 1-1 after the centre referee awarded the home side a penalty. Aniekan Ekpe who came on as a substitute stepped up to the penalty but missed it.

In the 89th minute, Anas Yusuf beats his marker after getting a through pass and finishes calmly one on one with the goalkeeper to double the lead.

Yusuf scored his second at additional time to wrap things up as the solid miners went home with all points and a three goal win.

The victory is Nasarawa United’s biggest away win in their NPFL history.

The result makes it the fourth away win in match day fifteen which makes it the first NPFL Matchday with four away wins since Matchday 38 of the 2014 season.
