RS Berkane have sacked their head Mounir Jaouani following their cup exit to second tier side CA Khenifra. They lost on penalties after throwing away a 2#0 lead.

The Moroccan giants have terminated their contract with the experienced gaffer following his poor output.

The 51-year-old was relieved off his duties as the head of the club’s technical team after the Oranges lads were eliminated from the Moroccan Throne Cup.

His sacking comes when the team is preparing for the CAF confederations cup first round first leg. Ashanti Gold SC will host the Moroccan club in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup on September 14.

The return leg tie will be played at the Stade Municipal de Berkane on September 27.
