Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, several activities have come to a halt. Sports aren’t being an exception, several sporting activities and leagues have been suspended and others still in a state of uncertainty to ensure the safety of both fans and participants.

With regards to suspension of leagues, the Premier league, La liga, Serie A have been victims with many other competitions in European countries affected.
After rumor of reported cases in Africa, uncertainty reigns in the domain of the CHAN to be hosted by Cameroon, CAF Championship league and confederation cup.

As a result, Ghana’s Football Association GFA has suspended all sporting activities of the country. This was done Sunday, March 15, 2020, and commenced from the day of the declaration till further notice.
This comes after certain cases of the covid19 virus were reported in the country.

One of last week’s updates from GFA, stated that all activities will go on as planned while in connection with the Government and the Ministry of Health for national health protocols. The government of Ghana later announced new protocols which consequently lead to the suspension by GFA, of all football activities with regards to the new protocols.

Changes on this and updates will be made public by the association to members and stake holders while staying in connection with the Government.
