The Confederation of African football, CAF has announced a changed in the date for the Draw of final tournament of the Total U23 Africa cup of Nations Egypt 2019.

In a press release this Thursday, CAF announced that the draw has been brought forward from Thursday 3 October 2019, to Wednesday, 2 October 2019, at the Haramlek Palace, inside the historical Montaza Complex, Alexandria, as from 19h00 local, 17h00 GMT.

The press release further explains that this decision was taken in consultation with the local organising committee, due to logistical reasons.

Eight teams will taking part in the draws namely host Egypt, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia. The representatives of the qualified teams are expected to be in attendance for the event on October 3, 2019.

The final tournament is scheduled for 8-22 November 2019, with all matches to be played in the Egyptian capital Cairo, precisely at the Cairo international stadium and the Al Salam stadium. The teams that will finish in the top three spots, will automatically qualify for the 2020 Olympic games.
