Yong Sports Academy’s 1#0 win over AVION Academy on match day 24 of the Cameroon league one Championship in Bamenda, was a perfect occasion for Coach Nkabyo Martin to give a chance to another exciting youngster, Yuh Moses, commonly known as Yuh Ozil.
Moses was introduced at the 70th minute of the game, as he replaced Abanke Eric. It was a dream moment for the 16_year_old Midfielder, as he made not just his YOSA debut, but also his maiden appearance in the Cameroon top flight.
For over 20 minutes on the turf, Moses showed a glimpse of the talent in him, with an excellent left foot, capable of squeezing space in the attacking third.
In an exclusive with Kick442.com after the game, the former captain of Rainbow FC of Bamenda described his YOSA debut as a dream come true.
“It is a very exciting experience for me, it has been a dream for me, and I’ve been working hard for it”, said Yuh Moses.
Asked if he felt any pressure, especially making his debut in front of the home crowd at Mile Six Nkwen, the youngster reveals how his coaches and teammates made it comfortable for him.
“When entering the field, we were already leading. There was no pressure on my side because my teammates and the coaches gave me the confidence and the courage to play and I captivated on it and played as if it was just a normal game as any other one”.
Yuh Moses was one of Yong Sports Academy’s new arrivals in the January transfer window, and is targeting big things with the “yellow submarines” of Bamenda.
“I just want to work hard and get more game time, fight for all the points in our games. I do my best to score as many goals as I can, to bring victory and joy to my club”.
A new look YOSA side under Nkabyo Martin, has been build around youngsters like Tongua Armel and a couple of others. The arrival of Yuh Moses, is simply a pointer for a promising future for YOSA.
Yuh Moses was nicknamed Ozil by his friends, attributing his ball distributing qualities and a dangerous left foot, to that of Germany and Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil. Moses will turn 17 on June 06, 2020, and is now one of the youngest players to have played in the Cameroon top flight.
