Cameroon shot-stopper Pierre Sylvain Abogo must be feeling like a lonely man after he was not able to obtain a visa to join his U23 teammates in their preparation camp in Hungary.

The former Botafogo of Douala and current Tonnerre Kalara club goalkeeper has had an emotion filled October.

On October 2nd, Abogo made head coach Song Rigobert’s list of 26 as the only local player to take part in the AFCON preparations scheduled from October 7-15 in Hungary.

Barely some days later, the 21-year-old was nothing less than frustrated and felt hard done by as a all attempts to get him a visa came to nothing.

It should be a worrying moment for the lad who had a golden chance to impress especially with the absence of Simon Omossola and Dande Junior. Blondy NNA Noukeu of Stoke city and Christophe Assimba of SD LEIOA are the 2 goalkeepers currently with the squad in Hungary.

The U23 Lions are preparing ahead of their very first participation in the AFCON U23 tourney which runs from November 8 to 22, in Egypt.
