French giants, Paris Saint Germain have reported joined the chase for Cameroon’s in demand shot stopper, Andre Onana. The 23 year old has been subject of interest from many European heavyweights, such as the two Manchester clubs (United and City), and even his former club FC Barcelona.
But now PSG are the latest to join the race for the signature of the 23 year old Cameroon and Ajax Amsterdam save hands. According to SoccerLink, new PSG sporting Director, Leonardo Nascimento de Araújo, is reported to have already been in contact with Onana’s entourage.
With the departure of the veteran Gigi Buffon, PSG needs a goalkeeper, who can help them in their European ambitions, and sees Onana just as a perfect fit. His stealer 2018/2019 season with Ajax Amsterdam, has been the best for the Cameroonian Youngster. A season in which in took Ajax Amsterdam to a historic UEFA champions league semi finals, and won two domestic titles in Holland (the Dutch cup and the Eredivisie).
Andre Onana featured in 33 Eredivisie matches for Ajax, and 18 Champions League games, keeping 22 clean sheets in that process. He is ranked amongst the elite goalkeepers in the European leagues, and is tip to be number for Cameroon in the ongoing African cup of Nations in Egypt, where the lions get into action on Tuesday June 25, 2019.
