Rainbow FC of Bamenda has signed a one year contract extension with coach Ngwa Remy, which will see the tactician take charge of the team for the 2019/2020 football season.

36_year_old Remy enters his fourth season with the Northwest regional outfit, and his work with the club for the last three seasons, have given Rainbow’s management more reasons to renew their trust in him.

“We renewed the contract of Coach Remy because we’ve looked round the region and he is the best coach we have ever had and all this time that he has been with Rainbow, he has either been to the interpools or the finals of the regional league every season. So we decided to renew his contract so that he and his collaborators can continue with the work”, said Rainbow’s manager, Blaise Yoye.

Shortly after putting pen to paper for his new one year contract, coach Remy told that “I want to thank the management of Rainbow FC for renewing confidence in me once again and for the fourth season consecutively. Many coaches applied for the coaching position this season but they decided to extend my contract with the ambition of qualifying for “elite two”. It is therefore a great challenge for me as I return with the hope of making things greater this time, said Ngwa Remy.

He added “Rainbow FC is a well structured club with the ambition of promoting football talents at national and international levels.I always feel comfortable whenever am called up to occupy this prestigious position because the working conditions are favorable for me.”

Rainbow has ambitions of gaining promotion to the league two championship, and coach Remy says he is ready for the challenge.

“To meet up with the great task I have this season, am planning to blend young talents with experience in terms of players recruitment”.

The management of Rainbow FC is also ready to put everything at his disposal, the task to be accomplished.

” we have given him the opportunity to blend the young talents with experienced players, because at first it was always just young talents, but this time we have allowed him to recruit experienced players also, to add with the youngsters we have. We have given him the open hand to do”, said Blaise.

Ngwa Remy has 12 years of coaching experienced, that span’s through his time with clubs Bafut United, Bafut Rangers and PWD of Bamenda (back then in the regional league). In his first year with Rainbow, he took the team to the Mini Interpools, while in the second he created sensation, qualifying the team for the national interpools, though they could not get a ticket into league that year. The third season saw him and his Rainbow side succumbed to Foncha Street FC in the finals of the Northwest regional, and he is going in this time around with much experience capable of correcting the wrongs of the past.
