The 2018/2019 Northwest regional league has come and gone with Foncha street FC crowned as champions thanks to their 2#0 defeat of Rainbow FC in the final that was played on Sunday August 4th 2019.
For the first time ever, the Best XI of the tournament was released by the organizers, FECAFOOT Northwest. It’s secretary general Ndi Tsembom Elvis while announcing the best XI disclosed that, a committee of more than ten was set up and tasked with the exercise. The committee he said was made up of coaches, and former players.
The champions Foncha Street FC produced 3 players in the Best XI, while Bafmeng United, SIMAF FA Mbengwi, Rainbow FC and Hilltop Strikers all produced two players each.

Instrumental in the performance of his team throughout the championship. He is the deputy captain of the team. He guided the team to the semi finals of the mini Interpools. During the first leg of the semi finals, he made some very important saves to keep the scores at one all.
Left Back: Bahaza Go-ah (SIMAF FA Mbengwi).
A high flying left back with a dangerous left foot. Good at taking set pieces and he scored a cracker of a freekick in the quarter finals second leg against Universal Soccer Academy. His performance is already attracting interest from League one sides, PWD and YOSA.
Frankline Chianian-Foncha Street FC
Captain of Foncha Street and was voted man of the match in the finals.
Che Njah Emmanuel (Hilltop Strikers). Was instrumental in his team run to the semi finals this season.
Right Back: Menghze Alain (Foncha Street FC).
He joins his captain in the best XI. A right back with a lot of attacking prowess.
Defensive Midfielder:Muloh Julius (Bafmeng United).
Although his team failed to make it to the mini Interpools, he was seen as the best in the defensive compactment of the game. With the ability to attack when needed.
Offensive Midfielder: Aballo Sodoffio Moudie (Rainbow FC).
He scored 5goals in the championship this season including the all important one against Universal Soccer Academy in the second leg of the semi finals.
Offensive Midfielder: Junior Nduky (SIMAF FA Mbengwi)
Left Winger: Joel Samghel (Rainbow FC)
Samghel has been instrumental in Rainbow’s run to their second consecutive League finals, though he could complete full 90 minutes in the final against Foncha Street
Right Winger: Brilant Awahmukala (Foncha Street FC). Scored the second goal in the final against Rainbow FC. A dangerous set piece taker who scored 5goals in the championship.
Centre Forward: Ibrahim Limnyuy (Bafmeng United).
This best XI will have as coach the best coach of the tournament Anumewa Frankline of Foncha Street FC.
Nji Nelson Chefor
