The information has been making rounds on social media and was finally confirmed a day after Cameroon’s elimination from the ongoing Total African Nations Championship.
The President of the republic of Cameroon, number one sports man has ordered the commencement of the top tier (league one and two) championship without delay.
In a letter signed by the the secretary general of the Prime Minister’s office, Seraphin Magloire Fouda to the minister of sports and physical education, the letter instructs the sports minister to put at the disposal of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT all earmarked stadiums and the necessary financial means for the intermediate start of the competition.
The league one and two championships in Cameroon have been grounded since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. Recent efforts to start the championship has been twarted by the brouhaha between the Cameroon professional football league and the Cameroon Football Federation.
