New Stars of Douala have acquired the services of former Eding Sport de la Lakie forward Joseph Julian Momaso on a one-year deal.

The former Astres of Douala winger reached an agreement with the club this Monday.

Momaso has been a free agent since leaving Eding Sport de la Lakie at the end of last season thus making it easy for the 2017 Cup of Cameroon winners to register the player though the transfer window closed some days back.

Momaso first starred in the Cameroon League 1 championship about decade ago with Astres of Douala before leaving for a brief spell in Morocco where he stayed until his return to UMS of Loum in 2016.

New Stars of Douala will become the third Littoral club he is representing in the top flight. He previously served Astres and spent 2 seasons at UMS of Loum.

New Stars of Douala have been very vibrant in the transfer window in the last month with the acquisition of some very good players.

Title winners George Belamo, Lionel Essono, Oscar Kalati are amongst some of their recent recruits.
