Yves Clement Arroga Atsentso has officially taken up duty as head coach of the intermediate lions of Cameroon. This after the official signing of his contract this Friday, October 11, in Yaoundé. Arroga and his coaching staff, have signed a two years contract, which is renewable.

Yves Clement Arroga and Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso were appointed to the post of coach and deputy of the intermediate lions on September 20, 2019, same day when Antonio Conceição was named head coach of the indomitable lions.

The official signing of their contracts marks the start of serious business for the Clement Arroga led crew, has they have a challenging task of building a solid team ahead of the African Nations Championship to be hosted by Cameroon.

During their installation, Cameroon’s sports minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi instructed them to reach the final, and do everything possible to win the 2020 CHAN, and improve the quality of play, of the intermediate lions.

Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso was head coach of the intermediate lions during the 2011 African nations championship in Sudan, and will have to in his experience and great Knowledge of Cameroon football, to assist Arroga, who has spend much of his coaching career in Europe. The two will be assisted in their task by Hervè Mbome Mamoun as physical trainer, and Clement Assimba, as goalkeepers trainer.

Before their appointment, the intermediate lions were virtually without a coach, since Rigobert Song left the team after the 2017 African Nations championship, for the U23 lions.
