The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT and French company Le Coq Sportif, have this Friday January 10, 2020, officially signed a contract which will see the company provide kits to the various categories of the Cameroon national football team.
The signing of the contract at the yaounde Hilton Hotel, came nine months after a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between FECAFOOT and the French company in April 2019.
The Cameroon Football Federation was represented during the event by president Seidou Mbombo Njoya and his close collaborators, while Le Coq Sportif was represented by their Marketing Director, Patrick Ouyi. The contract has a four years duration and comes after FECAFOOT had ended their working relationship with the previous kits provider, PUMA.
Before officially putting pen to paper for the contract, Le Coq Sportif had provided kits to four different categories of the Cameroon National team in 2019. The indomitable lionesses during the women’s world cup in France in June 2019, the indomitable lions during the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, the Under 17 World cup in Brazil and recently the Under 23 AFCON in Egypt, in November 2019.
Kick442.com earlier reported that FECAFOOT delayed the official signing of the contract, so as to present it to delegates during FECAFOOT’s General Assembly in July for endorsement. The signing was again programmed for July 26, 2019, but was postponed due to Le Coq Sportif’s involvement in the 100th edition of the Tour De France back then.
