Former APEJES Of Mfou head coach Herman Oumarou Sokba has been appointed head coach of current Cameroon champions UMS of Loum.
The 38 year old successful gaffer who stepped aside from APEJES of Mfou this summer held a discussion with officials of UMS of Loum on over the weekend and tabled conditions which were finally met by UMS of Loum CEO Pierre Kwemo this Monday.
kick442.com understands a One-year-deal was reached between parties involved this Monday morning and Oumarou will take over from coach Charlemagne Mbongo when training resumes this week.
Sokba will replace Coach Charlemagne Mbongo at UMS of Loum which is only the second club the former INJS trainee is managing in the top flight.
He is set to reunite with 7 of his former players he has managed at APEJES and are now on the books of UMS of Loum.
Coach Sokba spent 8 years at APEJES of Mfou guiding the club from the Regional Championship to the top flight championship and even won the cup of Cameroon with the club in 2016.
UMS of Loum has an unmatched history of strain relationships between the club’s CEO and his coaches.
The club parted ways with former coach Charlemagne Mbongo after just two games. Coach Mbongo took over from their title winning coach Laurent George Djam.
UMS of Loum is expected to face Stade Renard of Melong in the FECAFOOT Organized Cameroon Super Cup slated for Bafoussam on the 13th October 2019.
