Astre of Douala has signed Steve Meng and Nicolas M’bassegue, as the elite one returnees brace up for the 2020-2021 season.
The Douala based outfit won the League two championship last season, and gained promotion to the Cameroon top tier league after all domestic championships were abandoned by FECAFOOT due to Covid-19.
Nicolas M’bassegue joins Astre from League one rivals Canon Sportif Yaoundé, whom he helped to 12 place finish the previous campaign.
The 26-year-old defender joins former Aigle Royal frontman, Steve Meng as new recruits for the reigning League two champions.
Steve Michael Meng has previously enjoyed separate spells in Cameroon’s First Division Championship with UMS Loum and DAC 2000t, before his move to Dragon of Bata in Equatorial Guinea.
Both players join former Stade Renard shot-stopper, Cedric Njomo who recently joined the club.
Astre of Douala are aiming to make a decent comeback to the League one having missed the chance to enjoy top flight status last year.
The club led by Anicet Mbarga have announced future signings to further boost the club.
